Apple Special Event: Larger Apple Watch, Macbook Mini + 4 More Predictions of Autumn Line-Up
Autumn is coming closer, and it means Apple Special Event is almost here! It’s time to sum up all we know about this conference and all we heard from Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities.Â
iPhone
It’s believed that in 2018 Apple is to release the phone with the biggest smartphone with an edge-to-edge screen the company has ever made.
Ming Chi-Kuo stated there would be three models of iPhone with different screens: 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch model with OLED and LCD displays.
The 6.5-inch model is rumored to be called iPhone X Plus.
iPad
New iPad Pro models with Face IDÂ and an updated bezel-less design with no Home button. Two sizes are will be introduced: an updated 12.9-inch model and an 11-inch version (which may replace the existing 10.5-inch size).
This spring Apple presented new iPad: the ‘budget’ version with an affordable price tag as it costs $299 for schools, but $329 for everyone else. The tablet received improved features, for instance, it now supports $99 Apple Pencil, and its price will remain the same compared to the previous 9.7-inch iPad.

MacBook Air
It is expected that Apple will launch cheaper MacBook Air, estimated $799-$899 price range. The current MacBook Air price starts at $999.

Apple Watch
It’s predicted that 2 Apple Watch models will get larger displays: the smaller 38mm model will have a 1.57-inch display instead of a 1.5-inch, and the 42mm model will go from a 1.65-inch screen to a 1.78-inch one.
Macbook
Kuo stated that the MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini will be upgraded, probably, with Intel’s latest eighth-generation Core processors.
Also, Apple is saying goodbye to its 2015 MacBook Pro, offering new 13- and 15-inch notebooks with revamped keyboards.
