Ant-Man And The Wasp: 5 Things We Surely Know About New Marvel Super-Movie of this Summer
Next Marvel huge premiere of Summer 2018 is the ‘Ant-Man And The Wasp’. So, Nexter.org has collected every exciting piece of information about this movie.
When the events will take place
It’s clear from the trailer that the Ant-Man sequel will take place right after Captain America: Civil War. The events of that epic film will actually impact the events of this one, we just don’t know the details pertaining to how that impact will be presented in the film.
Marvel Studios has been quite open about the fact that Ant-Man and The Wasp will take place before Infinity War, as evidenced by the trailer and its lack of rubble and celestial gods from outer space.
New giant feature

The trailer showed Scott rising out of the water, so we know that there’ll be a lot more of his growing adventures. Scott will once against become Giant-Man, though for what big battle, we don’t know. Given everything else we know about the film, he may not be the only one to take on that role. We’ll get to that a little later.
Who is the Wasp?
Reprising the role will be the ever-impressive Evangeline Lilly, who finally gets her time to shine, and it clearly isn’t going to waste. As she said at the end of Ant-Man, “It’s about damn time.”

For the most part, it appears that the film will be staying faithful to the Wasp’s overall look and abilities. She can shrink, fly and is equipped with blasters. Reed and the stars of the upcoming film have made it abundantly clear that Ant-Man and the Wasp will place just as much focus on Hope Van Dyne as it will on Ant-Man, which is great news for fans of the character, hoping to see her in the spotlight.
Who is the bad guy this time?
By now, you’re probably wondering who the main antagonist of this fantastic sequel is going to be. You may have spotted the mysterious hooded figure in the trailer, who comic fans will recognize as Ghost, the anti-corporate tech phantom from the pages of Iron Man!

This might surprise some people, since this particular villain has never been associated with Ant-Man. However, Ant-Man’s rogues’ gallery is somewhat limited to… well, Yellowjacket and Egghead mostly. Ghost’s nemesis wasn’t the only change made to the character. You’ll notice that unlike the comic book character, the film’s Ghost is a woman, played by Hannah John-Kamen. It’s not a significant change, given how little we know about the comic book character. Perhaps the film will fill in the glaring blanks!
A short span of time

Evidently, Scott and Hope aren’t the only ones we’ll see being kept short. The events of the film are rumored to take place in quite a short span of time. That may prove to be a good thing, as it would be easier to fit the film in between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. It’ll be interesting to see how Scott and Hope will potentially change the MCU in the span of (presumably) a couple of days or less.
So, it looks like Scott will escape house arrest, they’ll find Hope’s mother (or answers about her), defeat Ghost and make it back in time for Thanos’ arrival, or second coming, since Infinity War will have already been released in theatres.
