A Star Is Born is directed, co-written and co-produced by Bradley Cooper, who plays a self-destructive but divinely talented and searingly principled rock god. If it has anything to say, then, maybe it’s just that Cooper would have loved being a musician if acting hadn’t worked out.
Amazing Lady Gaga

Stefani Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga, plays a waitress and ambitious singer-songwriter who has been told repeatedly that her appearance doesn’t suit the music industry. Ally lives with her rowdy father (Andrew Dice Clay) and endures commands from her demanding boss (Greg Grunberg).
Her Ally has the more dramatic arc of the movie, evolving from bright-eyed nobody to glamorous pop star, and Gaga’s performance rings true every step of the way.
