Nowadays, people have so much on their plate that they just forget to stop, take a deep breath and relax. That is why it is so good to have an app that won’t let you forget about such an important thing.

Nexter.org prepared you a list of 7 best for meditation.

This application is aimed at dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression through meditation. It is based on the recommendations of psychologists and the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy.

In the beginning, the application asks you to determine what you want to meditate for, what time of day and what mood you are in right now. Then you can choose one of the sessions and pick up natural background sounds (the sound of waves, wind, fire, etc.).

This application has the most expanded free version – you get 6000 meditations with instructions and 1200 musical compositions to choose from. The homepage is a map of the world with marks where people have already meditated today and who is meditating right now.

This is not only a meditation app, but also a social network, where you can communicate with people around the world and consult with teachers.

The app was rated by Webby People’s Voice Award experts and got the Best Health App 2017 award.

Headspace: Meditation & Mindfulness

Headspace is in many ways a tutorial, and if you have never meditated, then it makes sense to start with this app. Each session is a voice-driven meditation, and it consists of a simple algorithm. First, there is an explanation of the principle to which the session is dedicated, then instructions for doing it (“sit comfortably”, “close your eyes”), time for meditation, and homework at the end.

The application has all sorts of meditations: on the go, before going to bed, even while cooking and eating. You can also choose meditation according to your goal – whether you want to become calmer, more attentive, more creative, or even happier.

In order to personalize the use of the program, Aura asks questions about age, stress level, mood, and attitude to meditation. You can also report your current mood and well-being to find a meditation that will help you right now.
