Redness, burning, irritation, and tears may be the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. It usually occurs during a certain season, after contacting an allergen. The vision to remains normal and the eyes don’t feel tired. People may also have swollen eyelids and dark circles under their eyes.

A skin rash that looks like hives

Hives often occur because of an allergic reaction to an insect bite, cold temperatures, medication, and food allergy. Sometimes it may be because of asthma or hay fever. Do not mistake allergic hives with an ordinary rash, which is caused by:

  • infections;
  • autoimmune diseases;
  • parasites;
  • severe stress.

Nausea and vomiting usually mean that you have a bacterial, viral infection or food poisoning or irritable bowel syndrome. Sometimes these symptoms are accompanied by shortness of breath, skin rash, abdominal pain, and swelling.

Remember that even though bananas are considered to be hypoallergenic they also be a cause of allergy.

Stomach cramps

Sudden acute abdominal pain may be caused by cholecystitis, kidney stones, ulcers, appendicitis, etc. If cramps occur after eating certain foods, it might mean that you a food intolerance or an allergy. The symptoms are:

  • Swelling of the tongue, lips, mouth, or throat;
  • Rashes or itchy areas on the skin;
  • Breathing problems.
