Shredded Wheat nests

Ingredients:

  • 200g milk chocolate (broken into pieces)
  • 85g shredded wheat (crushed)
  • 2 x 100g bags mini chocolate eggs

Directions:

  1. Put the chocolate in a small bowl and melt it by placing it over a pan of lightly boiling water. Pour the chocolate over the shredded wheat and stir well to combine.
  2. Put this chocolate wheat into cupcake cases and create a nest shape by pressing the back of a teaspoon in the center to it. Decorate each nest with 3 chocolate eggs and put them in the fridge for 2 hours.

 

Adorable Chocolate Nests

Ingredients:

  • dried divided chow mein noodles – 1/2 cups
  • dark chocolate – 2 ounces
  • white chocolate – 2 ounces
  • peanut butter – 1 tablespoon
  • butter (divided) – 2 teaspoons
  • pinch of salt
  • mini chocolate eggs or jelly beans

Directions:

  1. Evenly divide chow mein noodles between 2 bowls
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and half the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Remove it from the heat when it’s melted and stir in the peanut butter and a pinch of salt.
  3. Pour this mixture in 1 bowl of chow mein noodles and stir evenly.
  4. Put some parchment paper over a baking sheet, make 4 small nests and put them on it. Set aside.  
  5. Melt the white chocolate and the other half of the butter.
  6. Pour this mixture in the second bowl of chow mein noodles and toss to coat.
  7. Create 4 nests on the prepared baking sheet and set aside for at least 4 hours.
  8. Take an offset spatula or knife and carefully remove the nests from the baking sheet.
  9. Decorate them with little chocolate eggs or jelly beans.

 

Chocolate Nests Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 5 c. chow mein noodles
  • 3/4 c. smooth peanut (or any other nut) butter
  • 5 c. shredded coconut
  • 10 oz. candy-coated chocolate eggs
  • Green food coloring

Directions:

  1. Line big rimmed baking sheet with waxed paper. Melt chocolate chips and nut butter on low in a 4-quart saucepan, stirring constantly.
  2. Put chow mein noodles in large bowl and pour chocolate mixture over noodles. Stir it well.
  3. Place tablespoons of this mixture to form a mound on prepared sheet and shape into nests. Put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  4. Mix a few drops of green food coloring with shredded coconut to create edible grass.
  5. Decorate nests with chocolate eggs and edible grass.

 

Chocolate Egg Nest Cakes

Ingredients:

  • 225g/8oz plain chocolate (broken into pieces)
  • 50g/2oz butter
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • 75g/3oz cornflakes
  • 36 mini chocolate eggs

Directions:

  1. Line a 12-hole fairy cake tin with paper cases.
  2. Set a bowl with chocolate, butter, and golden syrup over a pan of barely simmering water and melt it. Stir the mixture until smooth.
  3. Remove the bowl from the heat and carefully stir in the cornflakes.
  4. Place the mixture in the paper cases and decorate it with 3 chocolate eggs.
  5. Place it in the fridge for 1 hour.

 

No-Bake Chocolate Nests

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk – 14 ounces
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips – 2 cups
  • thin chow mein noodles – 10 ounces
  • jelly beans or egg-shaped decorative candies

Directions:

  1. Line 2 baking sheets with foil. Coat it with nonstick spray a little bit.
  2. Put condensed milk into a medium saucepan and add chocolate chips.
  3. Place it over low heat to melt. Stir often.
  4. Put noodles into a large bowl, add the chocolate mixture and toss carefully.
  5. Place 1/4 – 1/2 cupfuls on prepared baking sheets.
  6. Spray your fingertips with nonstick spray a little bit.
  7. Create mounds into nests and decorate with candies.
  8. Cool the nests to set.
