3 Celebrities Who Have Racked Up Millions Of Dollars In Debt

64

Earlier this year, it was revealed that 90210 star Tori Spelling and her actor husband Dean McDermott were being taken to court for failing to pay debts of more than $205,000. And while this may sound like an extortionate sum of cash to owe a loan company, there are a whole host of other famous faces who have racked up even bigger debts.

Kanye West

Who would have thought that the world-famous rapper would have accumulated debts of more than $53 million? Back in 2016, Kim Kardashian’s husband announced to the world that he owed millions and even asked Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg for help. However, fast forward just two years and Kardashian told a live TV audience that her hubby was a billionaire. No one knows for sure how the rapper overhauled his finances, but his thriving fashion business Yeezy! has definitely played a big role. By accessing the funds needed to run a profitable company, West helped Yeezy to turn over it’s first billion in 2018. And, it’s clear to see that plowing funds, such as those obtained from a reputable lender, into his business, has resulted in an impressive return on investment.

Pamela Anderson

Back in 2009, it was reported that the former Baywatch star owed $1.1 million to construction companies who had remodeled her home, as well as to the tax office. In fact, Pamela has had multiple run-ins with the tax department. In 2010, a tax lien was filed in her name for $1.7 million. Meanwhile, another two tax liens were filed in 2012 for a total of $371,514.65, according to The Huff Post.

Mike Tyson

The former boxer is rumored to have earned more than $700 million during his career. However, that wasn’t enough to stop him falling into serious debt and declaring himself bankrupt. In 2003, following a costly divorce and unpaid taxes both in America and the UK, Tyson had $23 million worth of debt to his name. But, Tyson is another famous face who has managed to turn things around. Thanks to his acting career and tell-all memoir, he’s now rebuilt his worth to a tidy $3 million.

Some of the biggest names in entertainment have faced costly debts and even bankruptcy over the years. And while some have managed to bounce back from their financial woes, others are still battling to pay back what they owe.
