What’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade?

It’s a parade organized for Thanksgiving that gathers together millions of people taking part in the 2.5-mile-long parade route, and millions more sitting at home and watching the event on TV.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is about the celebrities, the Broadway performances, the balloons in form of our beloved cartoon characters rising high above you.

When and where does it take place?

Macy’s annual Turkey Day parade starts at 9 a.m. EST. People will walk 2.65-mile route along Central Park West, Sixth Avenue and West 34th Street.

New floats and balloon lineup

The show will introduce 16 giant balloons, 43 novelty balloons, heritage balloons, balloonicles and trycallons, and balloonheads. Also, there will be such new balloons as Saiyan warrior Goku from “Dragon Ball Super: Brody” and new floats Elf Pets by The Elf on the Shelf.

The old but not least favorite balloons will be also featured in the parade – Charlie Brown, The Grinch and the Pillsbury Doughboy.

Kevin Jonas to introduce Paw Patrol balloon with his daughters

Jonas and his wife Danielle have two daughters Elena Rose, 4, and Valentina Angelina, 2. Kevin Jonas will introduce Paw Patrol balloon with his daughters!

“Oh my gosh — we went on a family vacation and I took two DVDs for them and that’s all Valentina kept yelling: Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol,” Jonas said.

How to watch 2018 Macy’s Parade

The 92nd Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on Thursday, November 22. Precisely, the parade starts at 9 am EST and ends at noon.

At the same time, NBC will be broadcasting the event on its website and on the NBC app for free (iOS and Android). Moreover, NBC and Verizon collaborated to stream 360 degree coverage of 2018 Macy’s Parade on Verizon’s YouTube channel. And guess what? For free as well!

Also, CBS’s will kick off at 9 am EST, and at 1 pm PST. You can watch it online on CBS’s website or on the CBS app (iOS and Android), which is free of charge.

Both channels are available on OTT apps for Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire. Also, you can watch it online on Hulu with Live TV, PlayStation Vue, Sling TV, and YouTube TV.
